Curriculum Database Document: Types Of Stores And What They Carry
Teaching procedures are outlined to allow students to learn to identify stores by category of store and vice versa and then what items or services are available at stores in each category.  Stimulus equivalences are taught.  The next set of steps teaches the student to identify where to go to purchase items needed and to prepare location specific shopping lists.  The student will be able to plan stops on a trip based on items needed and will be able to plan what items on an inventory list can be purchased based on a destination.  These skills are an important part of an overall  money management and community independence curriculum.
